Tusshar Kapoor-Shreyas Talpade Reunite For Late Director Sangeeth Sivan’s Last Film Kapkapiii
Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade reunite after 20 years in the horror-comedy Kapkapiii, releasing May 23, 2024. Directed by Sangeeth Sivan, it promises laughter and chills.

It’s a bittersweet homecoming but one that promises loads of laughter and a few spine-tingling chills. Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade are back together after almost 20 years (yes, Kyaa Kool Hain Hum feels like yesterday!) in a horror-comedy called Kapkapiii. The film is releasing on May 23, 2024.
What makes this one extra special is the fact that it marks the final film directed by the late Sangeeth Sivan, a filmmaker known for his unfiltered humour and quirky storytelling. Sivan had already completed the first cut before his sudden passing. The cast and crew have poured their hearts into finishing the project, not just as a film, but as a tribute to the man who brought them all together.

Kapkapiii will have jump scares along with mischievous, laugh-until-your-cheeks-hurt energy. The story revolves around a group of wildly relatable characters and an eerily unpredictable Ouija board — yep, things will go wrong, and hilariously so.
Along with Tusshar and Shreyas, the film features a young, energetic cast including Sonia Rathee, Siddhi Idnani, Jay Thakkar, and more. The movie has been produced by Jayesh Patel and Umesh Kumar Bansal under Bravo Entertainment, with Zee Studios presenting.
Speaking about the film, actor Shreyas Talpade shared, “As the name suggests, Kapkapiii is about goosebumps — the kind you get just before the fear fully kicks in. It’s one of the best horror comedies by Sangeeth Sivan sir. I miss him dearly. He should’ve been here with us today to witness the release of the film he was so passionate about. He was like a father figure to me, with a terrific sense of filmmaking."
Tusshar Kapoor reflected on his experience, saying, “Kapkapiii has a very realistic setting, and the characters are extremely relatable. The horror element revolves around a Ouija board, something that hasn’t been explored much in Hindi cinema. Sangeeth ji gave his actors the freedom to improvise within the framework of the script, which added depth and authenticity to our performances. For me, it was a nostalgic reunion after almost 20 years since Kyaa Kool Hain Hum — a true homecoming."
